I am indebted to my physical therapist, Lauren. Right now, eight months after having surgery, I forget I have an artificial knee and my range of motion is as good, or even better than before surgery. The exercises she designed for me, and the manipulation that she did make that possible. Her knowledge, acumen, and positivity supported and guided me through the process of rehab. I firmly believe I would not have had as successful an outcome if not for her.

I had been working with multiple PTs over the past three and a half years, but I’d really plateaued in my progress and was dealing with a cycle of injury and re-injury. The therapists at McCune & Murphy have helped me move from injury treatment to injury prevention while keeping my expectations realistic. These therapists understand the runner mentally as well as physically! I am so grateful- I’m doing far better than I imagined I could.

I went to McCune & Murphy after having both knees replaced. I started PT shortly after surgery and both Aaron and Lauren took time to listen to my concerns, skillfully integrating all my health issues into my rehabilitation. I am walking unassisted with almost no pain. I highly recommend McCune & Murphy.

After two total knee replacements, Jason helped me regain my mobility and well being. First working to improve my range of motion and flexibility, he then guided me to improve strength and stamina through regular physical therapy sessions along with independent exercise. Now, I’m enjoying life’s pleasures, large and small, from brisk mile-long walks with my dog several times weekly to simply being able to squat and tie my shoe.

Nobody chooses to have physical therapy! When you have your hip replaced, physical therapy becomes a necessary evil. I was lacking knowledge of what these services could mean to me. Throughout the sessions, the skilled, friendly staff, explained why I was feeling what I was feeling, and how therapy was being implemented to correct and/or improve my function. Using motivation and validation, the PTs encouraged me throughout the process. Questions were always answered. In addition, explanations and education enhanced the experience and eased any concerns. I couldn't be happier.
