Boomercize"Boomercize" is a group exercise experience designed for the active 40-65 year old who has begun to notice the slow, but inevitable decrease in their ability to perform life tasks as well as they did in their youth. The normal aging process causes progressive weakness throughout the body, a loss of flexibility, and a reduction in balance and coordination. This program is designed specifically to address the body parts most affected by the passage of time, and restore the participants' confidence and ability to perform optimally in their life tasks and athletic pursuits. From the weekend gardener to the marathon runner, this class will provide each participant with vigorous and fun exercise designed to improve strength, flexibility, power, core stability, coordination, and functional abilities.
The class consists of no more than 20 individuals and meets two times per week for each 10-week session. There are two levels of classes. Level one is designed for both the first time class participant and those with recreational goals. Level two is a more difficult class for those with "Boomercize" experience and greater athletic and fitness goals. Each class will meet for an hour and be held at Dryden Sport and Spine in their "Fitness Arena". These classes are unique, as they are taught by dually credentialed physical therapists/personal trainers rather than untrained individuals, therefore we can address individual needs and fitness levels. The cost of this program is $120 for the 10-week session.Ten per cent discount for early registrants.Classes offered fall, winter and spring.
